LWI Occupational healthfair for Nigeria Ports Authority Staffers S

LiveWell Initiative in collaboration with the Department of Occupational Health of the Nigeria Ports Authority NPA successfully organized a 2 day corporate health retreat for the staff and management of NPA from the 14th to the 15th of March 2017 at the car park of the NPA Headquarters Marina Lagos.

This program tagged ”Eat right and keep fit for enhanced productivity was packaged to educate the participants to embrace healthy lifestyle, to increase the organization bottomlime by reduce staff absenteeism from ill-health which costs employers $2600 annually per worker.

The event was declared open by the Managing Director NPA Ms Bala Hadiza Usman and there was also an opening remark from the Head of Occupational Health Dr Ngozi Obikili.

Thereafter there was a keynote titled Eat right and keep fit for enhanced productivity” delivered by CEO,LWI Pharm Bisi Bright. The lecture exposed the benefits of good eating habits to optimize productivity in the workplace in and career .

After the lecture, the participants visited the LWI stand for their Health screenings which included: Stress Test, Blood Pressure,Blood Sugar Oral Health Hygeine, Body Mass Index, HIV/AIDS Virus, Hepatitis B and C Virus and Prostate Specific Antigen.
The staffers also had acess to non-prescription and personalized health counselling from the LWI Pharmacy.
