LWI/Havard University collaborative Research Project at Iwaya Community in collaboration with Harvard University January 2nd 2017

During the month of January, the LiveWell Initiative Academy supervised a postgraduate research Hepatitis project by a student from the Department of Public Health of the Harvard University, Boston Massachusetts.

The aim of this project is find out the prevalence of Hepatitis B and C among adolescents.

The project was implemented by carrying out a free health screening programme for the inhabitants of Sogunro Community in Iwaya on the 2nd of January 2017.

The community members enjoyed free Blood Pressure and Random Blood Sugar screenings with non-prescripion medicines. adolescents of the community were screened for the Hepatitis B and C Virus.
