LWI Handwashing, Nutrition and Wellness Programme at Corona Secondary School, Agbara HSE Day

Last year, LWI collaborated with Corona Secondary School Agbara for a greener environment and health. Again, this year LWI celebrates Health, Safety and Environmental HSE Day with Corona Sec. School Agbara.

The HSE day with the theme, “Think, Eat and Save to Reduce Your Food Print” took place on Saturday, June 15th 2013.

LWI Senior Programme Officer, Nnedimma Obi delivered a very unique lecture on handwashing techniques to keep the infections away and the importance of physical activity coupled with a well balanced healthy diet. “Join a sports team and keep active” was emphasised to the students, which were also taught the essence of  good self-esteem.

The students and teachers sang along to the LWI’s nutritional song, “lots of fruits and vegetables…little oil, little sweet…” (please contact us at info@livewellng.org to get the full lyrics and tune).

Basic health checks were carried out and free over the counter drugs were dispensed by qualified LWI medical staffers.
