Ebola Awareness Programme at FSDH Merchant Bank, 28th August 2014

LiveWell Initiative LWI recently took its Ebola Awareness Campaign to staff and management of FSDH Merchant Bank at its corporate Head Office at the UAC House Marina Lagos on the 28th of August 2014. The programme was designed to raise awareness about the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) and to positively  influence the participants to make informed decision to protect themselves against the virus.

The Awareness lecture was delivered by CEO LWI Pharm Bisi Bright and Mr Niyi Fajimi (MPH) of the LWI Academy Faculty. The lecture shed more light on the number of cases being quarantined, the recently confirmed death of a young doctor who recently died of the virus as a result of treating a diplomat in a hotel in Port Hacourt and the superiority of using soap and water over hand sanitizers in the prevention of the virus.

The lecture was interesting and interactive as participants asked questions such as: Can the Virus could be caught from kissing?, Is it still safe to eat Bush Meat? and they also asked about the role of immune boosters.

Thereafter there was a demonstration with “rhymes and chimes” on Handwashing Techniques and Etiquette.
